Testimonials

My classes in Tomer Devorah helped me appreciate living a Torah life. Words cannot describe the enjoyment I experiences in my classes and in my discussions with the staff. They’ve encouraged me to constantly grow and seek out their advice when needed. This kind of warmth and caring is something unique to the Tomer Devorah staff; they became our family.

I personally loved Tomer Devorah for the incredible warmth of the seminary. From the moment I got into the airport and had the Rabbis and the teachers, and the madrichot greeting me, I knew I was in the right place and I was somewhere that would take care of me, and help me, and be there for me throughout the whole year… Even now I know that I could e-mail or call any of my teachers and they would be happy to speak with me… I think that is very unique and special.

My year in Israel started out amazing from the airplane. I was so excited and couldn’t wait to meet everyone. Something I felt was unique about my experience for myself was that I had to ask a lot of questions for myself in order to keep growing and to understand why I chose this lifestyle to begin with. The rabbeim and teachers I became close to as well as the girls really helped me reach a point where I felt I was happy and confident with the life I chose. I would advise a girl to go to TD if she was opening to growing and learning and making amazing friendships. I think TD makes that so accessible, and the fact that its small and the rabbeim and teachers are really able to spend quality time with you and getting to know you is always a plus. I still talk to my friends and say how much I would love to go back and how much I miss it. I miss the girls, the classes, the teachers, the tiyulim. It was just such a fun year and I gained so much from it.
